A Message From The NLHS Principal!
"It is with great pride that I welcome you to North Laurel High School. Our building is home to nearly 1400 students in grades nine through twelve and over 125 staff members as well. At all hours of the day and night, the building is alive with the sound of people working, playing, laughing and enjoying all kinds of educational activities, athletic events, musical performances, and the like. At NLHS, we strive to be a school that cares for and establishes relationships with all students. We are very proud of our staff and believe that they want to give each student the best education possible. NLHS provides an atmosphere that encourages high achievement, participation in extracurricular activities, and promotes personal growth for our students.
NLHS strives toward continuous improvement in order to better meet the educational needs of every student. NLHS offers a variety of dual credit, AP and technical courses that will enable students to achieve success beyond high school whether it is postsecondary education or the workforce. We are proud of the variety of program offerings, clubs, sports programs, as well as our academic success. Our emphasis is on the three new R’s: rigor, relevance and relationships; consequently, reducing the achievement gap, increasing graduation rates and improving access and entrance to post-secondary education.

About Our Clubs!
Here at North Laurel High School, home of the Jaguar nation, there is a great variety of extra curricular activities to choose from and participate in. The school offers a very wide range of clubs, to better suit the entire student body. This variety of clubs ranges from clubs like Fishing Club all the way to clubs such as TSA, the Technology Student Association. Some other notable, widescale clubs include Beta Club, the National Honor Society, and First Priority. So, while some clubs may be only local, and only exclusively here at North, North also offers those clubs that are spread across the nation, such as those mentioned in the last sentence. Every student here at North is encouraged to get involve, have fun, and succeed! Now, here's a club schedule for our Jaguar community for the 2014-2015 school year!
